About the Project
In November of 2019, I was asked to create a series of Instagram posts to promote the Sixth Annual Bruiser Thanksgiving, a charitable concert series at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit, MI. The portraits were inspired by my Instagram account, @DoodleDeGarmo, where I create stylized portraits of various hip-hop artists and cultural figures.
As a long time fan of Danny Brown, this was amazing to be involved with. Many thanks to Danny's manager, Dart Parker (VP of A&R at Def Jam) and fellow artist @PaidMSD.
